Ages 6-11. Climb aboard as we learn about life on a privateer ship, including what, as a sailor, you might have eaten, what your job might have been, and how you would have passed the time. Meet some of the Revolution’s most famous sailors, like Philadelphian James Forten, learn how to fire a cannon while fighting off the British, and get ready to help us create our own “tall tale” from the high seas! Presented by the Museum of the American Revolution. Registration is required.

Professional magician Chad Juros presents an all-ages program featuring sleight of hand, jokes, and some great tricks to try and figure out. Chad Juros is an award winning entertainer who has been honored to share his magic and inspirational story for audiences across the world for over 20 years. Ages 8-12. In this super-secret meeting, join museum staff as we learn about the spies of the Revolution! From shopkeepers and mystery women to enslaved men who served as double agents, let’s discover who these spies were and how they operated undercover. We’ll solve some of our puzzles, uncover some secret messages, and discover why George Washington thought spies were essential to the Continental Army’s victory. Presented by the Museum of the American Revolution. Registration is required.

Ages 6 - 12. On July 4th, 2026, the Declaration of Independence will celebrate 250 years! But what exactly is this special document that we honor each year on its birthday? Come along with a museum educator to discover what the Declaration is, why it was created, and why the important ideas inside it mattered in 1776—and still do today—through engaging, hands-on activities.
