Come along with a museum educator to discover what the Declaration is, why it was created, and why the important ideas inside it mattered in 1776—and still do today—through engaging, hands-on activities.

In this workshop, we will learn about archaeology and the thousands of objects we discovered under the museum—in an 18th-century toilet! Find out what these objects reveal about the people who once lived in our revolutionary neighborhood.

In this super-secret meeting, join museum staff as we learn about the spies of the Revolution! From shopkeepers and mystery women to enslaved men who served as double agents, let’s discover who these spies were and how they operated undercover. We’ll solve some of our puzzles, uncover some secret messages, and discover why George Washington thought spies were essential to the Continental Army’s victory.
