(A) Hands-On with Your iPad
Monday, November 9, 2026 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Adults.
The iPad is a versatile device, larger than a phone and easier to use than a laptop. With it you can communicate, find information, work and create, manage finances, and have fun, and we will explore all these in these classes.
We will begin by going over the parts if the iPad and the elements of the home screen. Then we cover the standard functions like App Switcher, Control Center, Widgets, and Folders. We’ll cover the basic apps (Calendar, Reminders, Camera, Photos), and thoroughly explore Maps, Messages, Safari, YouTube, and Siri. You will see how to use the Settings app to improve accessibility, back up the iPad, free up space, and maximize battery life. We will go over using two or more apps at once (multitasking), and creating Widget Stacks. We will also discuss Apple Intelligence and AI in general. Finally, we will discuss some excellent 3rd party apps.
This class will be updated for iPadOS 26.
This is a 3-week, progressive series and registrants are encouraged to attend all 3 classes. Classes are scheduled Mondays: November 9, 16, and 23. Register for the first session and you will be registered in all 3 classes.
