What is a Memory Café?
A memory café is a social gathering for those who are experiencing early-stage dementia, mild memory loss, or mild cognitive impairment, and for their families, friends, or care partners. The Memory Café at the Gloucester Township Branch welcomes adults experiencing memory loss, particularly early-onset dementia, and their caregivers. Enjoy a safe space for socializing with light refreshments and activities like crafting, games, and gentle exercise—all designed to foster connection and enhance well-being. For participants who require a caregiver, we kindly ask that the caregiver stay for the duration of the program.
This Memory Cafe (March 26th) will include a special stress busting segment focused on understanding stress and its impact on both caregivers and individuals experiencing memory changes. Caregivers are welcome to attend on their own or with their care recipient.
