Keith Garabedian will explore the traditions surrounding America’s Thanksgiving holiday.  Beginning in 1621, we will learn how the first Thanksgiving came together and sample early colonial, Native American, and enslaved people’s foods. We will travel through time, customs, and food ways to the present to understand how myth making created a national holiday and identity around the American table. Finally we will look at how the holiday continues to evolve and transform in conversation with our ever evolving American identity.

Food and beverages will be served.
