(Y) A Call for Teen Volunteers: Program Helpers

For ages 14–17

Need volunteer service hours? Join us as a helper at our children’s craft program! Teen volunteers will assist with keeping supply tables organized, helping parents and children find materials, and supporting our youngest participants with simple tasks like cutting and gluing.

Volunteers must arrive by 3:15 PM to get familiar with the activities and stay until 5:15 PM to help with a quick clean‑up.

Registration is required.
Please do not use your school email when registering. A librarian will email you the day before to confirm your volunteer commitment.

Volunteer hours are in high demand. No‑shows may be blocked from future volunteer events.

Get ready for a roar‑some good time making Dino Puppets with clothespins and paper! Choose your favorite dinosaur, then color, cut, and paste it onto a clothespin to create a snapping puppet. This craft is so much fun, you’ll want to make more than one!

A great hands‑on program for creative tweens who love dinosaurs and DIY projects.

Ages 9 - 16. Originating in Asia, particularly within Hindu and Muslim cultures, Henna has a long history, dating back to ancient Egypt and India where it is used for body decoration and rituals. Learn about Henna’s healing and cosmetic properties, and about traditional henna tattoo designs.  Design your own henna tattoo, after which a professional face and body artist will apply your tattoo using organic henna paste.

Join us for a special night just for older teens. Each participant will receive a planter to paint and a live succulent to pot and take home. It’s a relaxed, creative evening—perfect for unwinding, hanging out, and making something uniquely yours.
