The Ghanaian Association of South Jersey invites you out for a taste of Ghana

Did you know that Ghana was the first African country to gain its independence? Come out and celebrate our 67th year of independence. You will learn about our history, culture, music, fashion and customs. And you will be able to sample some of our cuisine as well. You don’t want to miss this - come out one and all.

(F) Ukulele Circle Workshop

There will be a workshop to increase the appreciation and knowledge of the ukulele. Join us as the meeting rooms transform into Ukuleleville. Dozens of collectible ukuleles will be on display. The story of ukuleles will be presented. Ukulele players will perform individually and in a group sing-a-long. Extra ukuleles will be available so all those willing can join in. Come join the fun!

11-12: Ukulele videos and display

12-12:30: Ukulele history (told by Roy Cox)

12:30-1:00: open mic, live

1:00-2:00: Group play-a-long: All join in!

Presented as an extension of the South County Ukulele Circle. Registration is not required.

(F) Jay Daniels Concert: Road Trip Across America

Celebrate America with the sounds of Simply Timeless music featuring pianist and vocalist Jay Daniels. Jay takes us on a "Road Trip Across America" as he shares songs from sea to shining sea including "Route 66" from Nat King Cole, "California Girls" from the Beach Boys, "New York, New York" from Frank Sinatra, "Philadelphia Freedom" from Elton John, "Old Cape Cod" from Patti Page, and "Georgia on My Mind" from Ray Charles.
