Ages 9-14. Saddler’s Woods is a 25-acre old-growth forest in Haddon Township, with rare old trees and a unique history. A couple dozen goats are visiting this May to help keep invasive plants from taking over. Learn about invasive plants vs. native ones from a naturalist with Saddler’s Woods Conservation Association. Watch the Goats chow down on invasive plants and poison ivy (Goats LOVE poison ivy!) . Event is held at Saddler’s Woods, walking distance from the Haddon Township Branch Library; we will be meeting at the welcome area, at the “Saddler’s Wood’s sign” located at the grassy hill right across from the library, at 250 MacArthur Blvd. Haddon Township, NJ 08108.
See Detailed Directions here. We will be entering the woods from the Welcome Area at 3:30pm sharp. The program is rain or shine. Please wear long sleeved shirts, long pants and boots or shoes that can get muddy!
