(T) Still Life Drawing

Ages 10 to 14.

This 1-hour art lesson introduces tweens to observational drawing through a seasonal still life. Students will learn and practice contour line drawing, shading techniques, and colored pencil application. Using seasonal objects as inspiration, they will focus on careful observation, proportion, and adding depth and detail to their drawings through light, shadow, and color.

Registration is required for this program. Registration will open on Monday 7/6 at 10:00 A.M. and close on Saturday 7/18 at 9:00 P.M. or whenever the registration list becomes full, whichever occurs first.

Accessibility info: The library is located all on one floor. There are no steps to enter the building, and the front doors to the building are automatic. The doors into the library portion of the building can be opened with an accessible button.

Ages 9 - 17. Originating in Asia, particularly within Hindu and Muslim cultures, Henna has a long history, dating back to ancient Egypt and India where it is used for body decoration and rituals. Learn about Henna’s healing and cosmetic properties, and about traditional henna tattoo designs. Design your own henna tattoo, after which a professional face and body artist will apply your tattoo using organic henna paste.

Ages 8 - 12. In this super-secret meeting, join museum staff as we learn about the spies of the Revolution! From shopkeepers and mystery women to enslaved men who served as double agents, let’s discover who these spies were and how they operated undercover. We’ll solve some of our puzzles, uncover some secret messages, and discover why George Washington thought spies were essential to the Continental Army’s victory.

Chad Juros is an award winning entertainer who has been honored to share his magic and inspirational story for audiences across the world for over 20 years. Ages 11 to 14

Come join us at the Bellmawr Library for a night of fun! In this program, participants will learn basic self-defense in a safe and relaxed environment! Make sure to dress in something that is comfortable and easy to move around in! Registration is required for this program. Registration for this event will open on Monday 7/13 at 10:00 A.M. and close on Saturday 7/25 7/20 at 9:00 P.M. or when the registration list is full, whichever occurs first.
