Adults

Take time to focus on self care through Art Journaling.

Each month, we will meet virtually to create a new journal spread with supplies provided by the library. No previous artistic experience needed, as we will all be learning together.

Registration opens March 6 and closes on March 27. Kits will go out after registration closes.

(F) Peeps Diorama Contest

South County is having a Peeps Diorama Contest with a book theme! All are welcome to participate, either as an individual or family. Reimagine your favorite book or series with Peep characters. Entries can be dropped off at the library between April 7th-12th. Vote for your favorite online or in-person April 14th-19th. Winner announced April 21st. Dioramas must be picked up by April 23rd or they will be discarded.

Tweens age 9 - 12   Join us for an exciting and creative afternoon! This event is perfect for children who love to play with words and express their creativity.

What is Found Word Poetry? Found word poetry is a fun and imaginative way to create poems using words and phrases found in everyday materials like newspapers, magazines, and books. Children will cut out words and phrases, arrange them in unique ways, and create their very own poems! 

Registration is required. Space and supplies are limited.

(A) Drawing for Grown-Ups

Adult.

The course will focus on the basics of drawing, under the guidance of professional illustrator Jen Tracy, so grown ups can gain pride in their artistic skill.

The goal of this workshop is to give students the confidence they need embrace drawing more often in their personal life. Daily drawing practices have been shown to have many benefits for the adult brain!
