(Y/A) Zine Scene; The Breakfast Club Edition!

Ages 17 & Up

Do you know how to do something really cool? Have an amazing recipe for puppy chow? Maybe you're the reigning UNO champion among your friends. Perhaps you've discovered the secret to getting an orchid to rebloom. Whatever your special skill, hobby, tip, or bit of wisdom may be, share it with others through the wonderful world of zines!

A zine is a small, self-published booklet that lets you express your creativity and interests in a fun, personal, and often unconventional way. During this program, you'll create your own 8-page zine dedicated to something you know, love, or simply want to share.

Never heard of a zine before? That's okay! Come discover what zines are all about, explore examples, and learn how easy and fun they are to make. Whether you're an artist, writer, crafter, foodie, gamer, gardener, or just curious, you'll leave with a unique creation that's entirely your own.

Join us for a relaxed, creative evening of folding, drawing, writing, and sharing ideas. Your knowledge could be someone else's next favorite thing! 📚✂️✨

(T) Upcycled Graphic Novel Pin Making

Ages 11 to 14.

Come join us at the Bellmawr library for a tween craft night. In this program, we are going to upcycle the pages of graphic novels, comic books, and manga and turn our favorite panels into pins! It’s the perfect flair for your backpack, jacket, or lanyard! Registration is encouraged but not required for this program. Registration will open on Wednesday 9/2 at 10:00 A.M. and will close on Monday 9/14 at 9:00 P.M. or when the registration list becomes full, whichever occurs first.

Accessibility info: The library is located all on one floor. There are no steps to enter the building, and the front doors to the building are automatic. The doors into the library portion of the building can be opened with an accessible button.

(A) Adult Craft: Nailed It! Night

In our artistic spin on the baking show Nailed It!, participants will have one hour to recreate a piece of a professional artwork as closely as possible. At the end of the hour, we will put our pieces back together and see how closely the painting was recreated. Adult artists of all skill levels are invited to bring their creativity! The artwork will be revealed at the start of the program, and all supplies will be provided.
A Hispanic artist will be featured for Hispanic Heritage Month.
