Ages 9 – up Do you love history? Do you enjoy board games?

Join us for an exciting afternoon of fun and learning! Military history buffs and gaming enthusiasts are invited to the library for a special event hosted by the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society.

Discover the fascinating world of war gaming and history with us. Our main focus will be on Wings of Glory, a thrilling tabletop game where participants will learn about WWI flying aces and airplanes while playing. We'll also have another engaging tabletop game to explore.

(Ages 9- 14)  April is National Poetry Month!  Celebrate by creating "black out poetry".  Blackout poetry is when you take a written piece of text from a book or newspaper, search for words and phrases to keep, while blacking out the rest of the page, in order to come up with your very own found poetry!

Teens age 14 - 18  Spring Break Volunteer Opportunity! If you enjoy working with young children and their families, this volunteer opportunity may be perfect for you.

                         Teens will arrive at 10:30 am to assist with set up and to familiarize themselves with the activities.  Program will conclude at 12:30 pm   

Tasks:
Assist with event setup and breakdown
Manage activity tables and maintain craft materials
Interact with children and assist them with activities
Registration:
Opens on Friday, April 4
Closes on Tuesday, April 22
Do not use your school email to register

Teens age 14 - 18 Are you looking for volunteer credits? Do you love to play chess? Bring your chess sets and help get a library chess group started at your library!

Volunteers arrive 15 minutes before the start to help with set up. Play chess! Interact with families! Spread the love of chess! EARN VOLUNTEER CREDITS!
