Creative Volunteer Opportunity for Teens (Ages 14–17) Looking to earn volunteer hours in a fun and hands-on way? Join us for a creative event where your artistic flair and focus will shine! You'll help:

Make crayons

Assemble craft kits

Cut out shapes

If you're great with scissors or can stick with a task for an hour, we want YOU!

The librarian will email you the day before to confirm your spot. Be sure to reply!

No-shows may be blocked from future volunteer opportunities.

(F) Drop-In Chess Afternoon

Ages 9 - Adult Join us for a relaxed afternoon of chess! Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting out, you’re welcome to drop in and enjoy some friendly games. Feel free to bring your own chess set or use one of ours from the library. All skill levels are welcome, so come and have fun while sharpening your chess skills! (This is not an instructional class) Parents ​​​​​​​/ Caregivers are required to remain with their child while they participate in the event.

(Y) A Call for Teen Chess Volunteers!

Teens age 14 - 17 Are you looking for volunteer credits? Do you love to play chess? Bring your chess sets and help get a library chess group started at your library! Play chess! Interact with families! Spread the love of chess! EARN VOLUNTEER CREDITS! Registration is required and spots are limited. Do not use your school email. The librarian will email you before the event to confirm your volunteer commitment. Be sure to respond back. Registration opens August 20 and closes September 11.

(Y) DIY Pressed Flower Stickers

Ages 14-18

Come join us at the Bellmawr library for a teen craft night! In this program, we will be making our own stickers for you to take home with pressed flowers. All supplies will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring pressed flowers/botanicals of their own to turn into stickers if they want. Registration is encouraged but not required.

Accessibility info: The library is located all on one floor. There are no steps to enter the building, and the front doors to the building are automatic. The doors into the library portion of the building can be opened with an accessible button.

Students will explore different aspects of photography to gain new perspectives on the Art of Photography. For beginner and intermediate photographers.
