Teens age 14 - 18 Are you looking for volunteer credits? Do you love to play chess? Bring your chess sets and help get a library chess group started at your library! Play chess! Interact with families! Spread the love of chess! EARN VOLUNTEER CREDITS! Registration is required and spots are limited. Do not use your school email. The librarian will email you before the event to confirm your volunteer commitment. Be sure to respond back.

Ages 9 - Adult Join us for a relaxed afternoon of chess! Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting out, you’re welcome to drop in and enjoy some friendly games. Feel free to bring your own chess set, or use one of ours from the library. All skill levels are welcome, so come and have fun while sharpening your chess skills! (This is not an instructional class.) Parents/ Caregivers are required to remain with their child while they participate in the event.

Ages 15 - Up The Ukulele Circle returns to South County every first and third Wednesday of the month. Join Mr. Roy Cox and other ukulele enthusiasts for an hour of playing and learning new songs together. All Skill levels are welcome. There will be a few ukuleles available for new players to use.

  • Volunteer Spots: Limited and in high demand
