Take part in lively discussions of classic and contemporary short stories in Room C at 1 pm. Stories can be obtained at the Information Desk on the first floor of the Voorhees branch.  This month's story is Quitters by Stephen King.

(A) Book Tasting Club

Not sure what to read next? "Sample" 12 books of all genres at our book tasting and you may find your next favorite author or series.  Participants will have four minutes to read each book (you can choose to read from the beginning, middle, or end!)  and record their initial impressions. Brief discussion will follow. 

Book Tasting is held on the third Wednesday of every month. Please feel free to bring a snack with you.

(A) Plant and Seed Swap

This event will be held outdoors and is weather permitting.

Join us for a plant/seed swap from 10:30am-12:00pm. No registration required. 

Bring your plant cuttings, seeds, vegetable seedlings, or houseplants to exchange with other plant enthusiasts. Please ensure all plants are labeled.

We will also have plenty of vegetable seeds to give away!

Creative Volunteer Opportunity for Teens (Ages 14-18)!

Looking for volunteer hours? Enjoy being creative? Help the librarian prepare materials for an upcoming program by cutting and dyeing coffee filters!

🕒 Schedule:

  • Arrive at 6:00 PM and wrap up by 8:00 PM.

  • Dress for mess! Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dye on.

📌 Important Details:

  • Registration is required. Registration closes June 23.

  • Use a personal email (not a school email) when registering. The librarian will send a confirmation email—be sure to respond!

  • Volunteer spots are in high demand. No-shows and non-responders may be blocked from future summer volunteer events.
