For ages 7 –13

Get ready for a roar‑some good time making Dino Puppets with clothespins and paper! Choose your favorite dinosaur, then color, cut, and paste it onto a clothespin to create a snapping puppet. This craft is so much fun, you’ll want to make more than one!

A great hands‑on program for creative tweens who love dinosaurs and DIY projects.

No Registration Required. Supplies while they last. Program ends promptly at 5 pm.

Ages 9 - 14. Learn about the art environments of Philadelphia's Magic Gardens and others like it around the world. Then construct your own mini-art environment by using our fun collection of found objects (colorful wood pieces, toys, beads, and much more) to create a one-of-a-kind sculpture. Presented by Philadelphia Magic Gardens. Registration is required.

(Y) Teen Night: Paint and Plant

For ages 13–17

Join us for a special night just for older teens. Each participant will receive a planter to paint and a live succulent to pot and take home. It’s a relaxed, creative evening—perfect for unwinding, hanging out, and making something uniquely yours.

Space is limited to 15 teens, and registration is required. A librarian will email you the day before to confirm your spot in the program.

(T) Design Your Own Henna Tattoo

Ages 11 to 14.

Join us at the Bellmawr Library for Henna tattoos! Learn about Henna’s healing and cosmetic properties, and about traditional henna tattoo designs. Design your own henna tattoo, after which a professional face and body artist will apply your tattoo using organic henna paste. Registration is required for this program. Registration will open on Wednesday 7/22 at 10:00 A.M., and close on Monday 8/3 at 9:00 P.M. or whenever the registration list becomes full, whichever occurs first.

This program is presented by Wildflower Body Art.

Accessibility info: The library is located all on one floor. There are no steps to enter the building, and the front doors to the building are automatic. The doors into the library portion of the building can be opened with an accessible button.

(A) Art Journaling

Adults.

Take time to focus on self care through Art Journaling.

Each month, we will meet virtually to create a new journal spread with supplies provided by the library. No previous artistic experience needed, as we will all be learning together.

Registration opens July 2 and closes on July 20. Kits will go out after registration closes.
