Ages 9 – Adult

Join us for a relaxed afternoon of chess at the library! Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, you're welcome to drop in and enjoy some friendly games in a welcoming environment.

Bring your own chess set or use one of ours—no pressure, no competition, just good company and great moves. This is a casual, non-instructional event, perfect for sharpening your skills or simply enjoying the game.

👥 Need a partner? Our Teen Chess Volunteers will be available to play and help keep the games going!

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents and caregivers must remain with their children during the program.

Come for the strategy, stay for the fun! No Registration Required! Program starts at 2:30 pm and ends at 4:30 pm.

Teens age 14 - 17 Are you looking for volunteer credits? Do you love to play chess? Bring your chess sets and help get a library chess group started at your library! Play chess! Interact with families! Spread the love of chess! EARN VOLUNTEER CREDITS! Registration is required and spots are limited. Do not use your school email. The librarian will email you before the event to confirm your volunteer commitment. Volunteer opportunities are in high demand. No shows may be blocked from future volunteer events.

Ages 0-5. Please only register children.

Join us for a fun and interactive Spanish Story Time! Children and their families will enjoy and learn through imitation of songs, rhymes, verses, stories, movements and hand-on activities while celebrating the Spanish language and Latin American culture. This program will contribute to the integral development of children, cultivating growth in imagination and meaningful exploration.

Ven y disfruta de una divertida e interactiva hora del cuento en Español! Los niñas y sus familias disfrutarán y aprenderán a través de la imitación de caciones, rimas, versos, cuentos, bailes y actividades prácticas mientras celebramos el idioma Español y la cultura Latino Americana. (K) Early Chapter Book Club

Grades K-2, with a caregiver. Join Mr. Tate for a monthly book club! Each session will start with a guided discussion of that month's book, followed by a themed activity or craft, and a snack. This month's book is Ricky Ricotta's Mighty Robot by Dav Pilkey. Registration is open April 20-May 4. You will receive an email when your copy of this month's book is ready to be picked up from the library.

(T) DIY Slime Night

Ages 11 to 14.
Come join us at the Bellmawr library for a tween craft night! In this program, we will be making slime with a few simple ingredients. Registration opens on Monday, May 4 at 10:00 A.M. and closes on Friday, May 15 at 9:00 P.M. or when registration list becomes full, whichever occurs first.
Accessibility info: The library is located all on one floor. There are no steps to enter the building, and the front doors to the building are automatic. The doors into the library portion of the building can be opened with an accessible button.
