(Y) Time Management 101

Ages 12 - 14 This 90-minute workshop will walk each participant through managing a schedule. They will be presented with tasks involving school assignments, home chores, social events, appointments, and other tasks. The mission is to allocate tasks using a planner. After a brief lecture, they will have to manage a 168 -hour week, 24 hours a day, of which they must allocate 8 hours to sleep and 2 hours for meals. This will leave them 14 hours per day to plan out the tasks.

(T) Financial Gaming Workshop

Ages 9 - 12  In this 90-minute workshop, we will play a board game on understanding how to make change. Each card will have the cost of an item and the amount of money given to the cashier to purchase the item. The first participant to correctly lay out the change will win the card. The participant with the most cards after the game is the winner.

(K) Financial Literacy for Kids "The Purse"

Ages 8 - 9  Financial Literacy for Kids "The Purse"  In this one- hour workshop, we read a story of a little girl who liked the sound her coins made in her tin can. One day, she spent all the coins on a new purse, It was not the same when she put her money in the purse. There was no sound.  Participants will receive play money to learn along with.

(K) Learning the Value of Coins & Bills

Ages 3 - 5 Learning the Value of Coins & Bills - This one-hour workshop will have the youngsters singing catchy songs about money to lean the value of bills and coins. Each participant will receive play money to learn along with.

Teen Volunteer Opportunity (Ages 14–18)

Are you a teen looking to earn volunteer hours while making a positive impact in your community? Do you enjoy working with kids and families? Join us for a fun and rewarding volunteer opportunity!

What You’ll Do:

Help set up for a family program (move tables and chairs)
Manage paint and craft materials
Assist with cleanup after the event
Details:

Time: Arrive by 6:00 PM and stay until 8:30 PM
Location: Voorhees Youth Services Department
Spots: Limited and in high demand.
Registration: Opens two weeks before the event
Important: Do not use school email addresses to register
