(K) Kid Crafters: Tin Can Decorating

Ages 6-11. Please only register children.

Come decorate a tin can and make a pencil holder, plant pot, flower vase, or whatever you want! Various supplies such as paint, markers, decorative tape, construction paper, and more will be available. Tin cans will be provided, but participants may also bring their own.

(A) Beginner’s Embroidery: Autumn Leaf

Come join us at the Bellmawr library for a beginner’s embroidery workshop! In this program, we will be using the satin stitch and the stem stitch to embroider an autumnal leaf on a four-inch hoop. This program is intended for adults. All materials will be provided. Registration is required, as seats and supplies are limited. Registration will open on 8/26 at 10:00 A.M. and will close on 9/7 at 9:00 P.M. or when the class is at capacity, whichever comes first.

Accessibility info: The library is located all on one floor. There are no steps to enter the building, and the front doors to the building are automatic. The doors into the library portion of the building can be opened with an accessible button.

This group is a partnership between the library and the Camden County Reentry Committee. We read and discuss books by and about individuals who have been impacted by time incarcerated in jails, prisons, or detention, as well as books about the history, politics, and geography of systems of incarceration.

This month, we'll conclude our discussion of The Many Lives of Mama Love: A Memoir of Lying, Stealing, Writing and Healing by Lara Love Hardin.
