Grades K-2, with a caregiver. Join Mr. Tate for a monthly book club! Each session will start with a guided discussion of that month's book, followed by a themed activity or craft, and a snack. This month's book is Ricky Ricotta's Mighty Robot by Dav Pilkey. Registration is open April 20-May 4. You will receive an email when your copy of this month's book is ready to be picked up from the library.

(T, Y) Blackout Poetry Workshop

(Ages 9- 14)  April is National Poetry Month!  Celebrate by creating "black out poetry".  Blackout poetry is when you take a written piece of text from a book or newspaper, search for words and phrases to keep, while blacking out the rest of the page, in order to come up with your very own found poetry!

(Ages 9-12) Have fun with Squishy Circuits! Build something that actually lights up in your hands! Use colorful conductive dough to create real working circuits — glowing sculptures, buzzing creatures, spinning designs, and more.

Learn concepts such as parallel and series circuits, polarity, electrical components and conductivity while having fun. Your creations will come to life as you light them up with LEDs, make noise with buzzers, and use spinning motors.escription
