(A) Drawing for Grown-ups: Color Your World

This course will focus on the basics of drawing so grown ups can gain pride in their artistic skill.

Color Your World is a three week course that will cover drawing fundamentals like line, value, form, composition, negative space, and, most importantly, color. Students are not required to attend every week but they are welcome to.

Each week a different still life will be showcased in accordance with the colors of the rainbow. Students will draw from the still life or work on a piece of their own choosing under the guidance of Jen Tracy, professional illustrator.

The goal of this workshop is to give adults the confidence they need embrace drawing more often in their personal life. Daily drawing practices have been proven to enhance problem solving skills in aging adults. It is my hope that after this course students will feel more confident taking advanced and intermediate drawing class.

Event Description

An estimated 38 percent of Americans are eligible to give blood or platelets, but of those, less than 10 percent actually donate each year. If you are healthy and eligible, please come out to donate. Most donations take about an hour, so book your appointment, roll up your sleeve and become a part of the lifesaving mission of the Red Cross.
