(K) Ā”Hablemos EspaƱol! ā€“ Fun Conversational Spanish for Kids

Join Mr. Edward, forĀ Ā”Hablemos EspaƱol!, a fun and interactive Spanish conversational program designed especially for children ages 5ā€“10. Each 45ā€“60-minute session introduces kids to everyday Spanish words and phrases through songs, games, stories, movement activities, and simple dialogues. Every week features a new themeā€”greetings, feelings, colors, food, family, and moreā€”helping children build confidence while practicing real conversational Spanish. Perfect for beginners, this engaging program makes learning a new language exciting, creative, and full of joy!

(A) Adult Craft: Justin Favela Inspired Tissue Paper Craft

American artist Justin Favela references pop culture, art history, society, cultural commentary and his own Guatemala-Mexican-American heritage in his work. Working with mixed media, he is known for creating large-scale installations and sculptures in the piƱata style. We will review some of his artwork and then create our own tissue paper butterfly art inspired by Favela.

(Y) N.O.P.E. Pizza & Presentation šŸ•

Grades 5-12. Celebrate Red Ribbon Week early with pizza & a special presentation. N.O.P.E. (Narcotic Overdose Prevention and Education) offers a one-hour presentation designed for youth across Camden County.Ā Each session features a team that includes a substance use prevention educator, a member of local law enforcement, and an individual with lived experience. Attendees will enjoy free pizza šŸ• and take home some goodies including free Narcan dispensers. Registration is encouraged.

NOPE is a powerful initiative made possible through the support of the Camden County Board of Commissioners, the Camden County Addiction Awareness Task Force, and the Camden County Municipal Alliance.
