Bellmawr

(A) Sewing Machines 101: Quilt Squares

Have you ever wanted to learn to use a sewing machine but didn’t know where to start? Come and join us at the Bellmawr library for Sewing Machines 101! In this program, patrons will learn the basics of using a sewing machine and then use their new knowledge to make their own beginner friendly quilt square! Because supplies are limited, registration is required for this program. Registration will open on Wednesday 3/11 at 10:00 A.M., and close on Monday 3/23 at 9:00 P.M. or whenever the registration list becomes full, whichever occurs first.

Note: This same program took place on 2/11. Please do not register for this event if you have already attended this program on 2/11. Because of the limited number of spaces in each of these programs, we want to give as many people as possible the opportunity to attend.

Accessibility info: The library is located all on one floor. There are no steps to enter the building, and the front doors to the building are automatic. The doors into the library portion of the building can be opened with an accessible button.

What is a Memory Café?

A memory café is a social gathering for those who are experiencing early-stage dementia, mild memory loss, or mild cognitive impairment, and for their families, friends, or caregivers. The Memory Café at the Gloucester Township Branch welcomes adults experiencing memory loss, particularly early-onset dementia, and their caregivers. Enjoy a safe space for socializing with light refreshments and activities like trivia, crafting, games, and gentle exercise—all designed to foster connection and enhance well-being. For participants who require a caregiver, we kindly ask that the caregiver stay for the duration of the program.
