(Y) DIY Sensory Potion Bottle

Ages 14 to 18.

Come join us at the Bellmawr library for a teen craft night! In this program, participants will get in the Halloween spirit and make their own sensory bottles that look like mystical potion bottles! Because spaces and supplies are limited, registration is required for this program. Registration will open on Wednesday 9/30 at 10:00 A.M., and close on Monday 10/12 at 9:00 P.M. or whenever the registration list becomes full, whichever occurs first.

Accessibility info: The library is located all on one floor. There are no steps to enter the building, and the front doors to the building are automatic. The doors into the library portion of the building can be opened with an accessible button.

(Y) Teen Scene: Sewing Scrap Monsters

ages 14 - 17 Turn fabric scraps into a one-of-a-kind monster that's weird, wild, creepy, cute, or somewhere in between. Using simple hand-sewing techniques, you'll design and create a unique creature that's perfect for clipping to your backpack, tote bag, or keychain. We provide the fabric, felt, and supplies. You bring the imagination. No sewing experience is necessary. In fact, the quirky stitches, unexpected details, and happy accidents make each monster more original. Whether you're into spooky, silly, or surreal creations, come stitch up a character that's entirely your own.
Please note that this is a Teen Space program. Younger siblings may not attend the workshop but are welcome to enjoy coloring sheets and paper crafts in the library outside the program area.

(A) Community Reentry Book Club

This group is a partnership between the library and the Camden County Reentry Committee. We read and discuss books by and about individuals who have been impacted by time incarcerated in jails, prisons, or detention, as well as books about the history, politics, and geography of systems of incarceration.

This month we'll begin our discussion of Eating Behind Bars: Ending the Hidden Punishment of Food in Prison by Leslie Soble, Alex Busansky, and Aishatu R. Yusuf.

Copies to keep will be available (first come, first served).

(K) Kid Crafters: Halloween Candy Tote Bags

Ages 6-11. Caregivers do not need to register, so please only register children.

Prepare for Halloween by decorating a tote bag to hold your candy! All art supplies will be provided. Registrants can bring their own tote bag or be provided one here.
