(Y) N.O.P.E. Pizza & Presentation 🍕

Grades 5-12. Celebrate Red Ribbon Week early with pizza & a special presentation. N.O.P.E. (Narcotic Overdose Prevention and Education) offers a one-hour presentation designed for youth across Camden County. Each session features a team that includes a substance use prevention educator, a member of local law enforcement, and an individual with lived experience. Attendees will enjoy free pizza 🍕 and take home some goodies including free Narcan dispensers. Registration is encouraged.

NOPE is a powerful initiative made possible through the support of the Camden County Board of Commissioners, the Camden County Addiction Awareness Task Force, and the Camden County Municipal Alliance.

(A) Yoga for Adults

Yoga is offered on the second and fourth Saturday of the month. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat (or something close to it), a yoga block if you have one, and a small blanket to cover yourself while we're in relaxation. All levels are welcome, including no experience! Floor space is limited and will be first come, first serve.

(Y) A Call for Teen Volunteers: Program Assistants

Young adults ages 14-17 can earn volunteer service hours while helping the librarian host a family movie event.

Volunteers should arrive by 1:30 p.m. to assist with event setup, including arranging tables and chairs, preparing coloring sheet stations, and setting up the snack table. During the program, volunteers will interact with children and their families by offering assistance with activities and distributing refreshments.

Volunteers are expected to stay until 4:00 p.m. to help with cleanup at the conclusion of the event.

Registration is required, and space is limited to 6.

Do not use a school email address.

The librarian will contact registered volunteers by email the day before the event to confirm their commitment.

Because volunteer opportunities are in high demand, participants who register but do not attend without notice may be ineligible for future volunteer events.
