Are you a creative teen looking to earn volunteer hours—maybe even just one? Join us for a fun, hands‑on volunteer session! We’re looking for a few teens to help sort beads, create painted papers, and cut out shapes for upcoming library programs.

Details:

Time: 4:00–5:00 PM

Dress for mess! You may get a little painty.

Registration is required. Spots are limited.
Please do not use your school email to register.

You’ll receive a confirmation email from the librarian the night before.

A Call for Teen Volunteers! Board Game Enthusiasts

Are you a teen (ages 14–17) looking to earn volunteer hours while having fun? We’re seeking friendly volunteers to play board games with younger children during our Unplug & Play event!

We’ll provide games like Uno, Apples to Apples, Concept, Chutes and Ladders, and other family-friendly favorites. Have a game you love? Feel free to bring it along to share!

Volunteer Details:

Arrival: 3:45 PM (for setup and sign-in)

Event Time: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM (play and assist)

Cleanup: Done by 6:15 PM

Important:

Do not use your school email to register.

The librarian will email you the day before to confirm your commitment.

Volunteer hours are in high demand—no-shows may be blocked from future opportunities.

(A) Book Tasting Club

Not sure what to read next? "Sample" 12 books of all genres at our book tasting and you may find your next favorite author or series.  Participants will have four minutes to read from each book (you can choose to read from the beginning, middle, or end!)  and record their initial impressions. Brief discussion will follow. 

Book Tasting is held on the third Wednesday of every month. Please feel free to bring a snack with you.

(A) Memory Cafe

Join us at our January Memory Café and enjoy "cozy & nostalgic" themed activities. Light refreshments will be served.

Memory Cafes will be held on January 22nd, February 26th, March 26th, April 23rd 2026 from 11:00am-12:00 pm.

Registration is recommended, but not required.

What is a Memory Café?

A memory café is a social gathering for those who are experiencing early-stage dementia, mild memory loss, or mild cognitive impairment, and for their families, friends, or caregivers. The Memory Café at the Gloucester Township Branch welcomes adults experiencing memory loss, particularly early-onset dementia, and their caregivers. Enjoy a safe space for socializing with light refreshments and activities like trivia, crafting, games, and gentle exercise—all designed to foster connection and enhance well-being.

(A) Yoga for Adults

Yoga is offered on the second and fourth Saturday of the month. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat (or something close to it), a yoga block if you have one, and a small blanket to cover yourself while we're in relaxation. All levels are welcome, including no experience! Floor space is limited and will be first come, first serve.
