South County

(A) South County Book Club

Please join us for a discussion of Japanese Gothic by Kylie Lee Baker. From LibraryReads: "A troubled young man in 2026 begins communicating with the ghost of a female samurai from 1877 when he visits his father's new home in Japan. Both hold bloody secrets. A gory and suspenseful horror read that combines lyrical, dream-like writing with a compelling story of past meeting present" This title is available as a physical book or e-audiobook from the library.

South County Book Club meets every six weeks and reads a variety of fantasy, gothic, sci-fi, and horror titles.

(A) Community Reentry Book Club

This group is a partnership between the library and the Camden County Reentry Committee. We read and discuss books by and about individuals who have been impacted by time incarcerated in jails, prisons, or detention, as well as books about the history, politics, and geography of systems of incarceration.

This month we'll gather to celebrate our year and share the big ideas, common threads, and action inspirations related to the books we read in 2026.

Any extra copies of our 2026 titles will be on hand if you missed them (first come, first served).
