For ages 14–17

Need volunteer service hours? Join us as a helper at our children’s craft program! Teen volunteers will assist with keeping supply tables organized, helping parents and children find materials, and supporting our youngest participants with simple tasks like cutting and gluing.

Volunteers must arrive by 3:15 PM to get familiar with the activities and stay until 5:15 PM to help with a quick clean‑up.

Registration is required.
Please do not use your school email when registering. A librarian will email you the day before to confirm your volunteer commitment.

Volunteer hours are in high demand. No‑shows may be blocked from future volunteer events.

Join us for a relaxed afternoon of chess at the library! Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, you're welcome to drop in and enjoy some friendly games in a welcoming environment.

Bring your own chess set or use one of ours—no pressure, no competition, just good company and great moves. This is a casual, non-instructional event, perfect for sharpening your skills or simply enjoying the game.

👥 Need a partner? Our Teen Chess Volunteers will be available to play and help keep the games going!

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents and caregivers must remain with their children during the program.

Come for the strategy, stay for the fun! No Registration Required! Program starts at 2:30 pm and ends at 4:30 pm.

Bring your favorite book or movie to life using Peeps bunnies or chicks! There are three categories to enter: Youth 0-12yrs, Teen 12-18yrs, and Adult 19+.

Drop off entries at the South County branch: April 6th-11th

Vote for your favorite in person or online April 13th-18th

Winner announced by end of day April 20th. Prizes for each category!
