(A) Adult Craft: Nailed It! Night

In our artistic spin on the baking show Nailed It!, participants will have one hour to recreate a piece of a professional artwork as closely as possible. At the end of the hour, we will put our pieces back together and see how closely the painting was recreated. Adult artists of all skill levels are invited to bring their creativity! The artwork will be revealed at the start of the program, and all supplies will be provided.
A Hispanic artist will be featured for Hispanic Heritage Month.

(Y) Upcycled Graphic Novel Pin Making

Ages 14 to 18.

Come join us at the Bellmawr library for a teen craft night. In this program, we are going to upcycle the pages of graphic novels, comic books, and manga and turn our favorite panels into pins! It’s the perfect flair for your backpack, jacket, or lanyard! Registration is encouraged but not required for this program. Registration will open on Wednesday 9/9 at 10:00 A.M. and will close on Monday 9/21 at 9:00 P.M. or when the registration list becomes full, whichever occurs first.

Accessibility info: The library is located all on one floor. There are no steps to enter the building, and the front doors to the building are automatic. The doors into the library portion of the building can be opened with an accessible button.

Bring your knitting or crochet projects and join Woven Wonders, a relaxed and friendly group for crafters of all levels. This is not an instructional class—just a welcoming space to work on your own creations, share ideas, and enjoy the company of fellow yarn lovers.

(K) Early Chapter Book Club

Grades K-2, with a caregiver. Join Mr. Tate for a monthly book club! Each session will start with a guided discussion of that month's book, followed by a themed activity or craft, and a snack. This month's book is Doggo and Pupper by Katherine Applegate. Registration opens on August 17. After registering, you can pick up your book from the Merchantville Public Library anytime during open hours (if you would like to pick up your book from a different branch, please reach out to Mr. Tate by email). Registration is required.

Starting in September, Early Chapter Book Club will be meeting on the last Saturday of the month at 2:30pm (October's meeting will be on 10/24 due to Halloween).

Each month, we will meet virtually to create a new journal spread with supplies provided by the library. No previous artistic experience needed, as we will all be learning together.

Teens and adults ages 15 and up. Craft & Chat is a relaxed, social crafting program for teens and adults. Each month, we’ll work on a different simple project while chatting and connecting with others. No prior experience needed—just come ready to create, relax, and enjoy good company. This month's project: Mod Podge Pumpkins! Decorate faux pumpkins with patterned napkins and mod podge to create your own custom DIY fall decor.
