(Y) A Call for Teen Volunteers: Holiday Card Making for Nursing Homes and senior Care Centers

Looking to earn volunteer hours for school requirements while making a positive impact in your community? Join us for an evening of creativity and kindness!

Teens ages 14–17 are invited to create handmade cards that our librarians will distribute throughout the community. If you enjoy drawing, coloring, lettering, crafting, or writing uplifting messages, this volunteer opportunity is for you.

No artistic experience is necessary. We'll provide inspiration, supplies, and guidance to help you get started. If you're an experienced artist, feel free to bring your favorite markers, colored pencils, or other drawing supplies.

This is also a great chance to meet new friends, connect with classmates, and spend an evening spreading encouragement to others.

Volunteer Information

Please arrive by 6:30 PM and plan to stay until 8:30 PM.

We will meet in the Youth Services Meeting Room on the first floor of the library.

Volunteer hours will be awarded for participation.

Forms for Eastern Regional High School volunteer requirements will be available. If you attend another school and require volunteer verification, please bring any necessary paperwork with you.

Registration Required

Do not use your school email address to register.

Volunteer opportunities are in high demand. Participants who register but do not attend without notice may be restricted from future volunteer events.

A librarian will contact registered participants by email the day before the event to confirm their volunteer commitment.

We look forward to creating with you and sharing a little kindness throughout our community! ✨

(A) Community Reentry Book Club

This group is a partnership between the library and the Camden County Reentry Committee. We read and discuss books by and about individuals who have been impacted by time incarcerated in jails, prisons, or detention, as well as books about the history, politics, and geography of systems of incarceration.

This month we'll gather to celebrate our year and share the big ideas, common threads, and action inspirations related to the books we read in 2026.

Any extra copies of our 2026 titles will be on hand if you missed them (first come, first served).
